Rosetta Stories have long been part of Rosetta Stone TOTALe. These narratives, poems, and informational articles use the power of compelling writing in 24 languages to show learners their new languages in action. Since stories are directly correlated to specific points in Rosetta Course, learners can apply their vocabulary and skills while still being challenged with new, unfamiliar material. Text, images, and readings by native speakers are used to create vignettes that let learners experience the language in fresh ways.
Stories take learners into the cultures that intertwine with the languages we teach. Whether exploring foods, landmarks, holidays and festivals, customs and lifestyles, or famous people and events, stories provide unique glimpses into the rich details that give life to a language.
Topping off an exciting year and a lot of hard work by our content authors, we’ve recently released 60 new stories to expand the offerings available to learners as they progress through Rosetta Course. These new stories are in English (British), Filipino (Tagalog), French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Persian (Farsi), Polish, Spanish (Latin America), Spanish (Spain), and Swedish. We’ve also expanded and updated many of the stories that were already available in our large library.
It’s hard to capture the breadth, depth, and power of the stories we’ve added to our existing collection. Now, for example, you can learn about
- wedding ceremonies in France, Germany, and Israel;
- holiday festivals in the Philippines, Spain, Ireland, and Greece;
- delicious dishes from Italy, Korea, and Puerto Rico; and
- interesting places to visit in these countries and others!
We hope you enjoy our new and updated stories. You can find them in Rosetta World, under the Solo activities. When you click on Stories, you’ll see all the stories that are available to you based on your progress in Rosetta Course. You can also go back to read or reread earlier stories. Check them out soon!
