Thai-American Young Woman Reconnects with her Family

My mother is from Thailand, yet she never taught me Thai. This was a difficult challenge for me when I was finally able to meet my older estranged sister in Thailand in 2004. She spoke no English, and I had less than 3 months to prepare of the trip. With only a previous history of learning mild Thai, I felt completely unprepared for the trip. I found Rosetta Stone Thai and diligently began to study the language. Upon arrival, I was instantly able to speak to my sister. My two nieces, 5 and 7, were speaking quickly in Thai. But I was able to understand some of what they said, and was surprised at myself when I was able to understand more throughout the trip. The Rosetta Stone really helped me reconnect with a family that I barely knew. Thank you so much for helping me!!!
