You Can Do It in Spanish

by Rosetta Stone

If you’d like to say “you can do it” in Spanish, you would generally say either, “tú puedes” (informal singular), “usted puede” (formal singular), or “ustedes pueden” (plural). There are also other variations like “sí, se puede” and “puedes hacerlo“, so you have some flexibility in how you want to express the idea.

As complicated as Spanish verbs and pronouns might seem to some new learners, always remember that you don’t have to memorize all the variations and conjugations at once. Even with a phrase like “you can do it,” getting comfortable with the basic “tú puedes” will likely work well in most circumstances. After you feel acclimated to that phrase, you can slowly incorporate others with more nuanced meanings or levels of formality.

Rosetta Stone’s Dynamic Immersion® methodology teaches you the language, not just the words. Its effective because we prepare you to use your new language in your everyday life. So, it’s not just about the features, but what you’re able to do because of them. It helps you get ready to handle all situations with confidence.
